A working list of verses that suit a church social media caption, grouped by the moment they fit best, with a short note at the end on how to use them so they read as a caption rather than a stock quote graphic. This isn't an exhaustive concordance, it's a shortlist worth bookmarking. Verses are given here in a common modern translation. If your congregation uses a different one, swap in the wording you already use.

For encouragement, or a hard week

"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:31

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Philippians 4:6

For welcome and invitation

"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name." Psalm 100:4

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:20

"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another." Hebrews 10:24-25

For gratitude and generosity

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7

"Honour the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops." Proverbs 3:9

"Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand." 1 Chronicles 29:14

How to actually use these

Posting a verse on its own reads like a stock quote graphic, the kind that gets scrolled past without landing. Pair it with one plain sentence that says why it's here this week: what happened, what it's for, who it's for. "Be still, and know that I am God. Whatever this week has thrown at you, that's still true tomorrow morning" does more work than the verse alone, because it tells the reader why you chose it today rather than any other day.
